Veteran’s Sport Clinic and Paralympic Nordic Ski Team Training Camps

Another busy month.

Screen shot 2013-09-19 at 2.00.04 PMWelcome back to Claire who is now coming to Monday practices with Braydon and Brenden and congratulations to Brenden who skied up the library hill by himself, well done.

Preparations are also under way for the Veteran’s Sport Clinic to be held at the Princeton Club, Madison, October 17th (9:30 am to 3:30 pm), where we will have Nordic Skiing, Biathlon shooting, curling, wheelchair tennis and table tennis.  It should be a fun day with veterans coming from Chicago, Milwaukee, Tomah and Madison, so come on out and help or just cheer them on.

Screen shot 2013-09-19 at 2.31.05 PMWe also started our monthly Paralympic Nordic Ski Team training camps this month, with “Goose”, Travis and new member Keith Cooper from Rockford putting in a solid week of training. Well done on a tough week. John Oman and Tony also came for the weekend for technique training. Special thanks to Chris Pappathopoulos for helping out, especially for having to keep up with Goose and Travis. Anyone interested in trying out for the Paralypics should come to the Talent tryout on October 17th, after the Veterans Sport Clinic at the Princeton Club.

Things are warming up for a great winter.
