“We have worked with event organizers on this concept since April and we’re very excited to bring it to life this winter. An important component of the CXC Marathon Cup will be individual masters/citizen skiers competing in the series. We also encourage clubs/teams from around the Midwest and Great Lakes to compete in the CXC Marathon Cup as well. Masters/Citizen skiers are the backbone and support of local clubs, which is why we suggest master/citizen memberships be added to their club/team rosters for this event. We are looking forward to see the growth and collaboration of clubs and master skiers in our region” – commented Yuriy Gusev, CXC Executive and Athletic Director.
