Central Cross Country Ski Foundation (CXC) is proud to announce its new partnership with the Loppet Foundation. CXC and the Loppet Foundation have joined forces to introduce the sport, to underserved youth in the North Minneapolis area through its Junior Loppet Teams: Anwatin, Franklin Middle School and Northeast Middle School.
CXC will be offering 40 complementary Youth Competitor Memberships for the Loppet Foundation, to distribute to children 13 and under. This membership provides information for parents as well as access to entry-level scored CXC Youth Cup (U12 and U14) and Skiwerx Series (U10, U12, U14) competitions.
“CXC’s donation of complimentary youth competitor entries for these juniors is a huge asset and will help these kids compete, learn and have fun with their peers in regional events such as the CXC Youth Cup and Skiwerx Series.” said Loppet Foundation’s Sponsorship and Marketing Manager, Emily Eastman.
“Our mission is to create a shared passion for year-round outdoor adventure in the Minneapolis area, focusing on underserved youth.” Said Eastman. “We use outdoor activities as a conduit for teaching life skills, enabling academic achievement, and developing healthy lifestyles.”
“We are really proud to work with CXC on the development of skiing at all different levels and to grow the sport among a variety of demographic groups.” Said Loppet Foundation Executive Director, John Munger.
