Job Opportunity: Communications and Media Manager

The CXC’s communications manager is responsible for external and internal communications to key CXC stakeholders and members. Previous experience providing communications leadership focusing on audience, message and delivery management through content development and education. The ideal candidate will be self- motivated, outgoing, organized and structured in addition to being personally conversant and be able to think ‘outside of the box’. A passion for sports is essential along with being a Nordic skier and a strong team player.

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

Central Cross Country Ski Association (CXC Skiing) is recognized by the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) as the Regional Governing Body for the sport of cross country skiing in the Central Region. As such, CXC Skiing is the official representative to the USSA, recognized as a Community Olympic Development Program by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and Paralympic Sport Club by the United States Paralympics (USP).

CXC Skiing is focused on sport development; athlete, coach and official education and certification; sanctioning regional events; organizing and training CXC Team athletes for National and International competitions. CXC Skiing’s regional headquarters is located in Madison, WI.
