Central Cross Country Skiing is happy to announce our new Director of Athletics, Joe Haggenmiller.
Haggenmiller comes from Michigan Tech University (MTU) where he has been coaching cross-country running, Nordic skiing along with Track and Field.
Over the past fourteen years, Joe has coached over 40 national qualifiers, several Junior All-Americans and seven NCAA All-Americans. Additionally, Joe has coached three skiers on to Junior/U23 World Championships and two onto the USATF Junior National Championships.
Before coaching, Joe himself was a standout skier and runner at Northern Michigan University from 1988-91. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from NMU, Joe went onto the University of Utah, receiving a Juris Doctor Degree. Aside from coaching Joe is a licensed attorney and even taught sport law at MTU.

I look forward to working with our region’s race organizers, volunteers, clubs, coaches, officials and athletes to help continue to move our sport forward here in the Central region.” – Joe.
After his successful tenure at MTU, Joe will be continuing his passion for skiing and his involvement in the central region’s ski community with Central Cross Country Skiing where he will be working out of Duluth, Minnesota.
