Our fall Wayne Fish Coaches Education Conference is coming up in under a month’s time… This is a great opportunity to have a coaches “retreat”, getting into the Northwoods of Wisconsin and focusing on your craft. There are Level 100/200 courses and certification, a great slate of presenters for all coaches (including already certified coaches, who will have a chance to learn from an international caliber coach), continuing education credits, and great networking opportunities to talk shop with your peers.
Due to unexpected circumstances Ivan Babikov unfortunately will not be able to join 2017 CXC Coaches Conference.
We are pleased to announce that three-time U.S. Olympian Justin Wadsworth who has served as head coach of the Canadian national team in 2010-2016 will be joining conference instead of Ivan.
A California native, Justin Wadsworth brings over two decades of experience as a high-performance athlete and three-time Olympian for the United States to his current position as the head coach of the Canadian World Cup cross country ski team. Prior to his head coaching role with Canada, Wadsworth served as the World Cup and Olympic Coach with the US cross country ski team.
A Level 3 NCCP Certified coach, he is recognized for his ability to leverage his experience as an elite athlete in his coaching – evidenced by the changes he has brought to the Canadian team which have resulted in their best results ever on the World stage.
Also part of the Wayne Fish Symposium will be officials education and updates on Saturday. Officials, mark you calendars as well!
To supplement the Wayne Fish Symposium, we are also offering mini-clinics. CXC’s Supplemental Coaches Ed Clinics thus far have been both well attended and well received. Don’t miss out on these opportunities to examine and improve your coaching skills and keep your US Ski and Snowboarding certifications up to date with continuing education.
