The CXC Rollerski Cup is a new race series establishing a dry-land competition for cross country skiers across the Central Region.
In its inaugural season, it will be comprised of three rollerski races – the first one in Wisconsin’s Blue Mounds State Park on November 3rd and the second at Granite Peak State Park on November 10th.
The events are open to everyone feeling ready and willing to challenge themselves! The CXC Rollerski Cup will include overall and age group results in U16, U18, U20, U23, Senior and Master age categories.
The series itself only covers specific races which will be scored and counted towards the CXC Rollerski Cup.
The first race of the series is the Up, Up, and Away, a 10 kilometer hill climb with 274 meters of vertical climb at the Blue Mounds State Park just west of Madison, WI. Competitors can choose between skate and classic, but the race considered for the CXC Rollerski Cup is the classic race.
The second race of the series is the Grinding Up Granite, a 4 kilometer hill climb with 152 meters of vertical climb at the Wausau’s Granite Peak on November 10th, 2018. For this event, both classic and skate races are counted towards the overall cup. Therefore, to get the most points, competitors should sign up and compete in both classic and skate races.
Competitors have to race on the matched Swenor rollerskis provided at the location of the events. The roller skis and bindings will be made available at the registration/start of each race.
CXC ROLLERSKI CUP SCORING

CXC ROLLERSKI CUP RULES
The competitors, so far, have a chance to race only in an individual category. Even though the races are a part of a series, the competitors do not have to enter all individual races in order to be included in the overall ranking. The only condition for the overall standings consideration is a CXC membership.
Only the main event counts towards the overall standings. The competitors are required to use roller skis provided by the organizer and they will be checked upon entering the start. Non compliance with the use of the provided roller skis will result in disqualification from the race.
The overall results are determined by the sum of the points acquired from individual races. The competitors assume and accept the risk of injury upon the registration and entry to the race. All competitors are required to comply with the traffic law and to wear a helmet. In case of departure from the established course, competitor is required to re-enter at the same place of previous departure or risking a disqualification.
