CXC Junior Cup Race Series Prepares For Its Second Season

The second year of the Central Cross Country Skiing’s CXC Cup Race Series is just around the corner. If you are a junior, or a senior class racer, this race series is for you!

Join us next month for the series start at a cathedral to skiing, the Michigan Tech Nordic Training Center, and continue on other exciting series stops in Madison, Cable, Boyne and Minneapolis. A great season awaits you!

First Stop:
CXC Junior Cup Kick-Off
Houghton (MI) / Dec. 15-16


Whether you are new to regional level racing or a past Olympian, the CXC Cup offers you a chance to toe the line and measure yourself against the rest of the Central Region.

It does not matter if you are new to the sport and want to see where you stack up, or if you are an experienced racer looking to compete on the national and international level, CXC Cup has the type of competition you will benefit from.

CXC works with our CXC Cup Race Organizations to offer you top notch racing on some of our region’s finest venues.

As the Regional Governing Body of cross country skiing in the Central Region, the Central Cross Country Skiing is responsible for overseeing the CXC Junior Cup, a series of qualifying events for the Junior National Nordic Ski Championships which are held yearly.

The objective of the CXC Junior Cup events is to encourage young athletes in the U16, U18, and U20 age divisions to enjoy cross country skiing and develop their skills, whether they are new to the sport High School skiers, aspiring junior skier who hope to compete at the top national and international levels, or are somewhere in between.
