CXC Names Championship Teams

Central Cross Country Skiing (CXC), the regional governing organization for cross country skiing in the 10 state Central Region of the United States, has named a wide range of teams for upcoming championship events. The teams were selected through a series of qualifying events over the past three months.

Teams were selected within two separate divisions of the Central Region.

The cream of the crop of American junior Nordic ski racers is coming to Donner Summit, CA from March 7-14 for the 2020 Cross Country Ski Junior National Championships. Fans will be treated to a glimpse of the future of Team USA as the best athletes under the age of 20 face-off at the ASC Training Center.

The New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) U16 Eastern Championships will be held March 6-8th at Mountain Top Inn & Resort in Chittenden Vermont. The Championships, which began in 1992, are now a focal point for top U16 athletes from around America and Canada. CXC has named a team of 16 athletes from Great Lakes and Midwest Divisions representing 10 clubs.

CXC will also take a team of 16 athletes from nine clubs to the 2020 NENSA U18 Championships at Gore Mountain in North Creek, New York, March 13th to 15th.
