Nordic Rocks Program – thank you notes!

We hope many Nordic Rocks schools had an opportunity to connect their Nordic Rocks program with events and festivities surrounding the Olympic Games.

Each school received a Learn to Ski Certificate, signed my Minnesota skier Jessie Diggins. Jessie and her teammate Kikkan Randall won a gold medal at the Pyeongchang Games.

They are the first American cross country skiers to medal at the Olympics since Bill Koch took home a silver in 1976.

Today we started with the shuffle, shuffle, glide… I called it slide slide glide, so if you talk to a kid from Prairie Farm that’s my fault!  They were able to pick up some speed and really felt like they were skiing!

It has been a big hit so far, the 2nd graders were getting dressed to go skiing 20 minutes before class, their teachers had to pull them back in and tell them they had a lot of time before class! So far every grade KGN-6th has been out enjoying the outdoors and skiing! Again thanks a ton for providing this opportunity for our kids.

CXC is truly proud of the five year history associated with the Nordic Rocks for Schools program, and will happily share some of our information and brochures, as well as, answer any specific questions regarding the program.

Our goal is to get more children on cross country skis, at and early age, and promote the fun, excitement, and wellness factors related to skiing and outdoor exercise.
